Day 302 - corpse!

Corpse was the life of the party.
If you look closely, you can see Sara taking this picture
at Don's house in Austin while wearing her moose antlers.
Happy Halloween!

Day 300 - nature's way

I looked outside the front door to see if there were any packages,
and noticed the way the lone oak leaf looked on the Fall doormat.
Mother Nature's decorative touch.

Day 299 - here come the clouds

The clouds are coming for another round of rain here in NorCal.
John took this shot as we got a quick 22 mile ride in.
Happy birthday, Mom!

Day 298 - new tree

John moved this tree from behind our house to the front of the house.
He always says, "If it makes it, it makes it."
Hope you make it little tree.

Day 283

Was out for a walk, and liked how the setting sun lit up the fountain.
I think the goose did too.

Day 282 - bumpkins

After the thrills of the city (San Francisco) yesterday, it's back to the foothills.

Day 280 - farmers market flowers

Riley believes all flowers in the house are his to arrange and chomp.
He really likes it when we bring home flowers from the farmers market.

Day 273 - Forest Creature?

This broken tree trunk along the Mt. Rose meadow trail caught my eye.
Strange duck-like creature watching people pass by.

Day 269 - autumn color

Record heat here on the west coast -high 90s in the late afternoon.
But this tree looks determined to say it is fall after all.

Day 268 - transformation

You'd never know it was fall today as it was warm enough to use the pool. This must be the latest date ever. You can see signs of the seasonal change in some of the trees though. This is the same golden full moon Japanese maple I photographed back in April with its new leaves. I'm going to take photos of this same grouping of leaves in the days ahead as it gradually develops its fall color.
